The last light XI

On a whim, I went out even though I was sure it was too late to get a photo I might like. And this was the light I found. With hindsight I can say that I should have raised the ISO in steps to test it and focused further in to the image, even on the house at the risk of not getting everything else in focus. With this soft, evening light I could have safely sacrificed the foreground focus. In other words, a little more thought.

But when practicing techniques with a new camera, trial and error is normal, not the exception.
