The geometry of shadows

I wandered in here, not sure I was allowed to be there despite the door being open. Such interplays of light and dark, detail and non-detail, all but demand to be captured. At the same time, this is one of those photos that makes me wish I had a wide angle lens. Next time. And the edit was a challenge all its own. I reset all the edits twice. It wasn’t until I used luminence masks that I was able to work with the contrasts of light and shadow. Then, the pieces came together in a way they never had just working with highlights and shadows.
