The art of the unpredictable

Like any creative process, photography is unpredictable. The shot that you think is great when you take it can look horrible on screen. Equally, a shot taken as a throwaway or as a standard shot you always take when you visit a place can become special. Light changes a lot of course.

This photo is a perfect example of that. I don't remember being conscious of the purple tinge to the light at Regent's Park that evening, but there it is nonetheless. I love the light, the cracks in the clouds, the shadows, and the poles disappearing into the distance. I love also being able to quickly pull this from the repository and do a quick edit on my phone.
