Guiding the eye

This photo has been sitting in Lightroom for a while. I wasn’t sure about it for a reason that I couldn’t identify. But I finally decided to edit and post it. Now, after posting it, I can see the repeated rectangles: the billiard table, the panelling, the doorway, the mirror, the doorway reflected in the mirror… It helps make it a better photo than I appreciated. Yes, I could do a better job in taking it now given what I’ve learned since, but it deserves a place here.

And it guides the eye to Ma Reine.
